SLA’s journey began with founder Brian Albertson, whose career in the food industry spanned more than four decades. Through his experience in food processing, distribution, and supply chain operations, Brian saw firsthand opportunities to improve the quality, care, and consistency of school meals across the country. That vision became personal as a parent, inspiring him to create a company focused on doing better for students.
The name SLA reflects that purpose.
It stands for the names of Brian’s daughters and represents the heart of why the company was built. From the beginning, SLA was designed to serve schools with the same care, attention, and standards Brian would expect for his own family.
